meh, better boring and classy then manipulative and deceptive like Triss
Except for the fact in "The Last Wish" the book where Geralt met Yennefer it was because of a Djinn that had nearly choked Dandelion to death, Geralt rushed him to a nearby town and asked the local Sorceress to help which was Yennefer. She agreed, but only to receive the final wish that wasn't claimed yet, she believed that the third and final wish belonged to Dandelion when in reality the three wishes were bound to Geralt. Upon learning this Yennefer attempted to 'tame' Geralt, to use him for the final wish. Yennefer feeds on Geralt's frustration at being seen as a lesser person because of his Witcher condition, his need to be seen as an equal by fellow men and his sorrow at being cursed at by everyone who deems him a freak.
Yet despite Geralt learning about Yennefer trying to control him for the final wish he does something strange, just before the Djinn is about to kill Yennefer he makes the final wish. What it was is unknown, the story ends and the final wish is left unsaid for the viewer. However, it's commonly believed it was for Yennefer to love Geralt or something along those lines. After all, the scent of lilac and gooseberry's is a mesmerising one~
Source: I own "The Last Wish" book and am a huge nerd for The Witcher.
The point of all this is... Trish and Yennefer have both deceived Geralt. Neither are angels, it all comes down to if you like red or black hair.
For me Yen is not even worthy of some number, like I said I don't like annoying woman
Triss almost died for the entire Kaer Morhen, that's enough loyalty
Finally! a true partner in this eternal discussion. That's exactly what I said that all sorceresses had some of their own agenda though Triss being the youngest was least associated with their conspiracies.
Although Triss has been tortured for Geralt, twice now. Well, once because of the Lodge and the second time she allowed Geralt to hand her in so he could get information, Triss was brutally tortured during her imprisonment and she did it all for Geralt. Triss's love for Geralt became real, while she might have been manipulative she isn't the only one guilty of that crime, her 'fake' feelings eventually became her reality. However, you'd wonder why I'm arguing so hard for Triss when I actually love Yennefer... Sorry Ace. <3
You can't say that anymore, Alia's post proved clearly that Yen also tried to deceive him so she's classless too and Alia's post also said what I was trying to tell you from months that Yen always took Geralt as a lesser being, treating him like trash. I played the games several times but never had chance to get the books, if I had those then I would have blown your true love story out of the water
And Alia didn't said that Yen is better, just prefer her over Triss. You can't manipulate anymore
yes, but not as much as triss. remember what you said about in witcher 1, you need to hate triss, then have that triss hate grow to love? now you are trying to back pedal from that statement and use Yennefers bad past as attack?
prefer = better. I prefer to mod juri over ryu, therefor to me, juri is better then ryu
Glad to see all back here, arguing about the good stuff.
BTW, what Geralt wished for was to his fate/life to be entagled with Yen, so he could save her life and nobody'd have died that way. And by doing that he discovered that Yen was ugly and had a hunchback. Despite all that, he fell for her, for what she was.
Ciri best, Milva second and Saskia third. - And thanks for the best wishes, Sensaiga. Sorry I didn't thank you earlier, it's just I got too excited seeing all the guys back on track arguing over what's really good. And it's Witcher, man. You know me, being around this world since the fan translations, even before the first game. Can't help myself with that, lol.
